About The Bike Guy

The Bike Guy is owned and operated by James Thornton — a qualified bicycle technician who holds the Cytech Level 2 certification, the recognised industry standard for professional cycle mechanics. Technicians at this level have the training and practical skill to build, service and repair most types of bicycle, with a thorough understanding of the engineering principles behind every component.

James offers high-quality, convenient bike maintenance either at your home or on a collect and return basis — picking the bike up from your door and delivering it back to you ready to ride. Bigger repairs and full services are usually carried out in a fully equipped bike workshop, while smaller jobs such as puncture repairs, brake adjustments and gear tuning can normally be completed there and then on site.

The Bike Guy covers anywhere in the Staffordshire Moorlands, handling anything from puncture repairs to full bike strip-down servicing. Whether it's a daily commuter that needs a tune-up or a child's bike that's been sitting in the shed and needs some TLC — James has the skills, tools and experience to get it running smoothly.
